A1 CHALLENGE SEE OFF THE NKUMBA LADY MARINES [48:35]
An early afternoon kick off saw the A1 Challenge team face the new comers in the league Lady Marines. The first round encounter of these two sides saw a close call in as the two teams were separated in the final 3 minutes of the the game by Kyomugisha Gloria's basket.
This time around offensively, Bazira Liz and the team captain Nassolo Vickie teamed up and led offensively with 12 points and 14 points respectively. Assisting silently offensively was Kakkazi Carol with 7-points.
Defensively was impressed with the steals and rebounds by Fredrickah M. and Aggie.
Team Lady Marines star E. Marion had a decent game as she led offensively for the Lady Marines with 13 points to her name. Team mates Josephine and Slyvia tried to tighten defensively towards the third quarter but the damage was already done.
Overall the A1 Challenge ladies deep down know they can do much better and it's going to take individual responsibility and team work to clean up the wrinkles both offensively and defensively for them, as for the Lady Marines i guess it's back to the drawing board to re-strategize.
Notable absentees in the squad were Larrisah, Okot Barbra, Irakoze Doreen, Angie Lokidi.
Score per quarter was [16:14][26:22][36:28][48:35]
Play of the day was Aggie's block on Esther Marion just when she thought she had a free lay up.....loo and behold the defensive prowess of Aggie.
Good game ladies.
Have a great weekend.

LADY MARINES FACE A1 CHALLENGE IN FUBA-AIRTEL'S BASKETBALL ACTION
A1 Challenge looking to keep the fight on as the face the Lady Marines in today's 3:30pm kick off at the YMCA court.
The last game saw hussle in the true definition of the word till the last 3 minutes where Kyomugisha Gloria and Barbra Okot decided to decide the game with the "pedigree" factor coming in handy.
Esther Marion and Nakyenze Constance are going to be the lead offensive threats for the Lady Marines, seeing that they led their team onwards on the first leg till they eventually ran outta steam.
Players like Khisa Marie who had a really decent game last week in their victory against Makerere Sparks will be key.
Available players in Team A1 Challenge: Angie Lokidi, Bazira Liz, Meg Maggie, Birungi Mariam, Sylvia N., Olivia Mulwana, Larrisah K, Aggie, Okot Barbra, Kyomugisha Gloria, Fredrikah M. and the Carol's [Mugasha and Kakkazi] plus Doreen are all available.
This is one spectacle worth following.
Kick off is at 3:30pm

A1 CHALLENGE FIGHT PAST MAKERERE SPARKS 42:37
A1 Challenge's resilience paid off as they saved the best for last, as Makerere Sparks led almost till the third quarter but staying within sight they pounced when they got the chance to take the lead and the rest is history.
Khisa Marie with one of the big moments of the game as her 3-pointer gave A1 Challenge the lead in the game.
Great fight put up by the ladies and it paid off.
Final Score: A1 Challenge 42:37 Sparks (full time)

A1 CHALLENGE FACE A HARD GAME AGAINST THE MAKERERE SPARKS @6:30PM
The last time these two teams clashed it was resilience that saw the A1 Challenge ladies snatch the victory.
Today's game comes after a fort-night of rest seeing that last weeks games were postponed because of the NCS-MTN saga that saw an Airtel-FUBA league denied to access the sports facilities at Lugogo Indoor sports arena where the games were scheduled to take place, but never did.
Sparks have been re-building and are surely staging a stern test because of their hunger for a play-off slot this year.
Today's game proper has alot of heat and fight and hussle written all over it which leads me to conclude on this not "compact defensive hussle and offensive precision" will be the difference in today's games.
No injury worries for Team A1 Challenge, and the team has been training together so we are expectant.
Go A1 Challenge Rock On.....
