A1 CHALLENGE SET-UP AHEAD OF THE MAKERERE SPARKS GAME ON FRIDAY

Shortly after the hard fought win against the Amazon Rhino's on Saturday morning, Team A1 Challenge enter the training camp on Tuesday in preparation for their game with Makerere Sparks.

One thing is for sure that the encounter with the Makerere Sparks come with alot of intensity and physical approach to the game and this calls for a step up mentally and defensively because with work horses like Hellen particarly and Karungi Charlyn, the A1 Challenge needs to work together to close all the gaps that the opponents will seemingly be all out to exploit.

Sparks shooter Susan Mirembe will also be looking to stand up tall in this contest.

Having said that Okot Barbra is back in camp after a minor knee injury that had her out of action for 2 weeks and she's a huge boost considering her mean-defensive approach. She was slightly involved in the hard fought win [48:43] against Amazon Rhino's.

She joins to help Aggie who has been in ascendency considering Bazira Lizzie's cautious approach thanks to her wrist injury which is still demerit in her game.

Also Fredrikah is back in the squad after being out for a while on academic commitments and sickness. She was one of the unused-subs in the previous game and she brings more options defensively for Team A1 Challenge.

Ntale Victoria has been the most on-form offensive forward for A1 Challenge scoring a game high 16 points in their previous game and will be seeking to continue from where she left off. However, other players have to step up and put up points on the score board because collectively they trounce opposition.

Kabuji Larrisah also was not involved in the last game and should be available to partner Aggie especially in cleaning up the board with the rebounds and stopping Karungi Charlyn and Maria Mutale.

Kakkazi Carol also rested the previous game and she should be able to return to her guard role and partner Kyomugisha Gloria and try to orchestrate another win which will be sweet revenge considering they lost to Sparks in the dismal end of the last season.

Mulwana Olivia, Mugasha Carol, Birungi Mariam, Larrisah K., Doreen Irakoze and Sylivia Nakazibwe should be available for selection.
