Preview Game III : A1 Challenge Vs UCU Lady Canons

Game III of the ladies play-offs best-of-seven series finals are set to be played on Sunday afternoon at YMCA beginning at 4pm.

The cancellation of the Games in the MTN Arena by National Council of Sports for many reasons among which, was the detoriating conditions of the court which was not suitable to host the any FUBA games. This eventually led the FUBA committe to extend the games till Sunday at YMCA the traditonal home of basketball.

With the Lady Canons leading the best-of-seven-series [2-0] and also high on confidence, Game III will be a case of playing their normal game. Hard defensively and extremely swift on the transition offensively. Mandy Juruni will be telling they ladies to keep with the winning foam.

With the brilliance of Akinyi Lorraine, Maureen Amoding, Brenda Mbone and the guts of Flavia Oketcho, that force will be a combination to be followed closely.

Whether or not the likes of Namukasa Betty, Namayega Josephine, Kyomugisha Gloria, Lokidi Angella, Barbra Okot and Mugasha Carol in the A1 Challenge defense can contain it, we wait to see.

One thing is for sure, the bad wrist injury to Bazira Liz has ruled her out of the remaining season.

The illness of Sandra Munduru and Khisa Mary will be a huge blow. Whether or not they can recover in time for the game is what we will all have to wait and see.

A huge responsibility rests on Mavita Ali, Hatima Kassim, Angella Lokidi, Namayega Josephine and Olivia Mulwana for the offensive sharpness.

Anne Vogts will also be missed since she's out of country on official matters. Their replacements heading into Game III will be extremely crucial.

Questions to be asked:

Who are the starting five and can they display a match winning perfomance on court to stir a come-back in the play-offs since they trail 2-0 to UCU Lady Canons?

When is it necessay to substitute and what impact the substitute will have? All questions that rest on the shoulders of their coach Nyambogo Hamza.
