The long awaited moment of the NBL action was finally over and A1 Challenge was to tussle it out with KIU Rangers.
The game saw debutants in Ruth Meeme, Nikuze Stella, Amito Suzan, Kukunda Sharon and Racheal Nanyonga.
Some of the players were off to a slow start as others made quite an impression. Ms.Ruth Meeme was almost flawless controlling the play, as she commanded from the top. Ms Amito Suzan was a huge offensive package for the KIU Rangers defense as she scored 12points. Ms. Nikuze Stella had a huge game on both sides; offensively and defensively, and she showed alot of promise.
KIU Rangers took advantage of the moments of lapse from the A1 defense, and Ms Aurore Irakoze made 4/7 perimeter shots and scored a game high 15points
but that was still couldn't salvage them from their first defeat of the season.
These two sides face off again in one weeks time, and A1 Challenge will be seeking to better their defense when it comes to contesting the perimeter shots.
